General Information Only
This website is published by UAE Debt Collection (UDC) for general information and marketing purposes. It explains, in broad terms, how debt recovery, litigation, enforcement and related legal services work in the United Arab Emirates. Nothing on this website is legal advice, and nothing here is intended to be applied to a specific dispute, debtor, contract or claim without a proper case assessment.
Debt recovery outcomes in the UAE turn on the precise documents, dates, jurisdiction clauses, limitation periods and commercial context of each file. Two matters that look similar can have very different prospects. You should not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of any page, article, guide, calculator or FAQ on this website.
No Advocate–Client Relationship
Reading this website, submitting an enquiry form, using the live chat, sending an email or speaking to a member of our team on the telephone does not create an advocate–client or consultant–client relationship between you and UDC or any advocate we work with.
A relationship arises only when we have completed our onboarding and conflict checks, agreed the scope of work in writing and signed an engagement letter or service agreement with you.
Until that point, information you send us is treated in confidence as a matter of policy, but it does not attract the professional privilege that applies to communications with an engaged advocate. Please do not send confidential or privileged material through the website until we have confirmed that we are able to act for you.
Regulated Legal Services in the United Arab Emirates
Representation before the UAE courts and the exercise of rights reserved to the legal profession are regulated activities in the United Arab Emirates. Where a matter requires pleadings, court appearances or advocacy, that work is carried out by advocates licensed by the UAE Ministry of Justice and admitted before the relevant court, or by legal consultants licensed by the competent local authority.
UDC provides commercial debt collection, amicable settlement, case preparation, document management, enforcement follow-up and cross-border coordination services, and instructs or works alongside licensed UAE advocates where a matter requires it. The free courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) operate under their own common-law frameworks and their own rules on who may appear; requirements there differ from the onshore federal system.
No Guarantee of Recovery or Outcome
We do not promise, guarantee or warrant that any debt will be recovered, that any claim will succeed, that any judgment will be obtained or enforced, or that any timeline mentioned on this website will apply to your matter.
Recovery depends on factors outside our control, including the debtor’s solvency and whereabouts, the quality of the underlying documentation, the availability of attachable assets, court and authority processing times and any insolvency, restructuring or bankruptcy process affecting the debtor.
Any recovery rates, success rates, case durations, cost estimates or examples shown on this website are indicative only, are drawn from past matters and are not a forecast of what will happen in your matter. Past results do not predict future results.
Fees and Commission-Based Recovery
Where we offer commission-based or contingency-style terms, including arrangements described as “No Recovery, No Fee”, those terms apply to our commercial collection and case management services and are always set out in a written service agreement before work begins. Court fees, execution fees, translation, attestation, expert fees, publication costs and third-party disbursements are separate and are generally payable regardless of the outcome.
Advocates’ professional fees are charged in accordance with UAE law and the applicable fee agreement, and are not necessarily contingent on the result. Ask us for a written fee proposal for your specific matter.
Accuracy and Currency of Legal Information
UAE law changes frequently, and it has changed substantially in areas relevant to debt recovery, including the decriminalisation of dishonoured cheques and the reform of civil procedure, commercial transactions, insolvency and bankruptcy legislation. Pages on this website may not reflect the most recent amendments, ministerial resolutions, cabinet decisions, court circulars or judicial practice.
Statutory references are provided for orientation only and should be verified against the current official text and confirmed with a licensed UAE advocate before you rely on them.
We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, adequacy, currency or fitness for any purpose of the material on this website, and we accept no responsibility for technical, editorial or typographical errors or omissions.
Third-Party Links and Embedded Content
This website may link to, or embed content from, government portals, courts, regulators, news sources and other third parties. Those links are provided for convenience. We do not control, endorse or take responsibility for third-party content, availability, accuracy or privacy practices, and a link does not imply any relationship or approval.
Intellectual Property
Unless stated otherwise, the text, layout, graphics and compilation of this website belong to UAE Debt Collection or are used under licence. You may read, print and quote short extracts for your own reference with attribution. You may not republish, redistribute, scrape, resell or use our content to train commercial models without our written permission. Third-party names, logos and marks remain the property of their owners.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the law in force, UAE Debt Collection, its officers, employees, consultants and partners exclude liability for any loss or damage — including indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of data — arising from your access to, use of, or reliance on this website or any material on it, or from your inability to access it.
Our responsibilities and liabilities are in all cases limited in accordance with the applicable law and with the terms of any written agreement between us.
We do not warrant that this website will be uninterrupted, secure or free of viruses or other harmful components, and you are responsible for your own device and network security.
Use From Outside the United Arab Emirates
This website is directed principally at users seeking debt recovery in the United Arab Emirates and at UAE-based creditors pursuing debtors abroad. It is not an offer to provide services in any jurisdiction where doing so would require a licence or registration we do not hold. If you are outside the UAE, take local advice as well; we work with correspondent partners in the debtor’s jurisdiction where cross-border action is required.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This disclaimer, and your use of this website, are governed by the federal law of the United Arab Emirates and by the law of the emirate in which UAE Debt Collection is licensed, to the extent that it applies. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this website falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates.
Where a written service agreement between us contains a different dispute resolution clause, that clause prevails for matters within its scope.
Data Protection
Personal data submitted through this website is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which reflects the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021). Please read it together with this disclaimer.
Changes and Contact
We may update this disclaimer at any time; the version published here is the version that applies. If anything on this website is unclear, or if you believe something is inaccurate, please tell us through our contact page and we will review it. To discuss a specific debt, ask us for a case assessment rather than relying on the general guidance published here.
